Barracuda
Barracudas are quite common in Southeast Asian waters, but you don't often see them close up, if at all. They're often patrolling high above the reef, so you have to look up to see them, and then you'll only see their outline. Despite their fearsome looks, and reputation, barracuda have never been known to attack divers in Southeast Asia.
Scientific name: Sphyraena barracuda

Please note: Identification of fish, corals, etc. is a tricky business. It's entirely possible that I've incorrectly identified a photo I've taken. If you spot an error, please contact me so I can correct it and improve this resource.
