Branching Corals

Branching corals are hard corals encompassing a wide variety of species.

Scientific name: Acropora latistella

I'm always careful to check below big table corals to see what's lurking beneath. Of course, you need to use caution, since morays sometimes shelter there, but you're more likely to find some sweetlips or pufferfish.

Please note: Identification of fish, corals, etc. is a tricky business. It's entirely possible that I've incorrectly identified a photo I've taken. If you spot an error, please contact me so I can correct it and improve this resource.
